I Love Hot Yoga Instructors
Alison Marra
Building upon a background in gymnastics and dance, Alison felt an instant connection with Vinyasa Yoga after being introduced to the style while attending college. Yearning for a deeper understanding, she received her 200-hour instructor certification from CorePower Yoga in2007. Today, she guides students through a Vinyasa-style practice that focuses on core strength and flow to build a solid practice based on strength and spirit. Placing emphasis on linking breath with movement, this style of yoga heals, detoxifies, develops endurance, and exhilarates the body and mind. Alison uses music in her classes to further enhance the practitioner’s experience.
Alison Solam
Alison Solam came to yoga to heal a back injury--it worked! Although at first her practice was purely physical, yoga became much more--it would not be an exaggeration to say it truly changed her life, as they say "transforming body mind and spirit." She has studied and trained with master teachers rooted in a variety of disciplines-- Ashtanga, Iyengar and even Yoga for children.
Teaching since 2001 her classes include heart pumping, challenging flowing asanas, luxurious stretches and deep relaxation. Classes are intended to be joyous and uplifting; levity and lightness is a part of her style. Instruction with modifications and props make her classes accessible to all. Along with an atmosphere of transcendent music and candlelight, her hope is that students will leave the practice feeling as if they just left a health spa, feeling toned, relaxed, and at peace with their bodies. She counts among her influences, her yoga teachers Kim Zamoff King, Aadil Palkhivala, Tracy Hodgeman, her students, and years of international travel. When not teaching or practicing yoga, Alison is taking care of her two children, and when time allows, she heads to the mountains!
